Done using an old National Archives photo as the reference, this reminds me of the past here in Mississippi. Cotton was king, and railroads weren't the only way to transport goods here. The Big River, the Mississippi was, and still is, a major thoroughfare to supply the central US. This was a way to pay homage to my new home.
God gave me the talent to paint and draw. I am blessed with the ability to visualize stories, or moments in time, and then to recreate them for others to see what I saw in my mind. I have in some form or fashion painted for a living my whole life. I started out hand painting billboards as a pictorial artist (back when they were painted), and have done everything from fine art to theatrical backdrops, sets, and film and TV.
